INDEPENDENCE - The trial for reality TV star Chris Soules has been moved to November.
Soules, 36, of rural Arlington, is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident in the April 24, 2017, crash in Buchanan County that took the life of Kenneth Mosher, 66, of Aurora.
Soules, who starred in ABC's 'The Bachelor” in 2015 and was a contestant on 'Dancing with the Stars,” was driving a pickup that hit the back of a tractor drive by Mosher about a mile from Mosher's home.
Soules waived his right to having a trial within a year earlier this month, and on Tuesday court administrators set the trial for Nov. 7 in Buchanan County District Court in Independence.
The trial is expected to last about four days.
Court officials also scheduled a pretrial conference for Oct. 16.
Last week, the Iowa Supreme Court turned down an interlocutory appeal filed by Soules' defense team that had asked to have the charges thrown out.
Leaving the scene of a fatal accident, a Class D felony, is punishable by up to five years in prison.
