A Center Point woman received what police believe to be non-life threatening injuries Monday morning after her vehicle was involved in a rollover accident on Interstate 380 south of Center Point.
According to a media release from the Linn County Sheriff's Office, at 9:48 a.m. Monday deputies and members of Linn County Rescue 57 and the Center Point Fire Department and Ambulance Service were dispatched to an accident with injuries on Interstate 380. As the personnel arrived on scene, they discovered a vehicle that had rolled several times at the location.
The only occupant of the vehicle was the driver, identified as Lisa Schulze, 49, of Center Point. According to the release, Schulze had been heading south on Interstate 380 when she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to roll several times, with it coming to rest with its wheels on the roadway, blocking a lane and a half of southbound traffic. Schulze had been wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident, according to the release.
Schulze was transported to St. Lukes Hospital for what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries, according to the release.
