A Center Point man has been arrested in relation to a burglary that ended with one person being injured with a knife Wednesday.
Riley Scott Young, 30, was taken into custody around 12:30 p.m. Thursday when he turned himself in to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, after the office requested the public’s help in locating him Wednesday.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, Young was a person of interest in the injury of Trent Pray, 36, with a knife early Wednesday.
Deputies responded at 12:52 a.m. to a disturbance call at 1320 Franklin St. in Center Point, where they found Pray with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening.
In a press release Wednesday seeking to find Young, the sheriff’s office described the incident as “a targeted attack.”
Young will be charged with first-degree burglary, willful injury causing bodily injury and two counts of fifth-degree criminal mischief, according to the sheriff’s office.
