The Cedar Rapids Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a woman who has gone on a spending spree with stolen credit cards.
Police said on May 27, a woman reported that her billfold had been stolen while she was shopping in a northeast Cedar Rapids store. A woman, 35-50 years old, wearing a dark-colored top, sweatpants and a white hat or head dressing, is thought to have taken the billfold.
The suspect left the store and got into a white sport-utility vehicle, police said. Later that day, that same woman used the stolen credit cards at a nearby convenience store and another store. The suspect was also seen getting into a darker-colored Chevrolet Impala, police said.
Anyone who is able to identify the suspect is asked to call the police department's criminal investigative division at 319-286-5400.
