Cedar Rapids police investigating gunshots fired at passing car

CEDAR RAPIDS — Police are investigating reports that two men fired at a passing car Tuesday evening in the Wellington Heights neighborhood and ran away before authorities arrived.
Police said they received a report just after 5 p.m. about gunshots being fired in the 1500 block of Fourth Avenue SE. Witnesses told officers who arrived at the scene they saw two young men firing several rounds at a passing car.
Police said no injuries were found there. But they did find shell casings and a bullet entry point into a car nearby.
