Cedar Rapids police investigate shots fired

CEDAR RAPIDS — Police are investigating a shots fired incident that happened early Monday morning in southwest Cedar Rapids.
Police were called to the 2200 block of Fruitland Blvd SW at 1:21 a.m. Monday for a report of shots fired in the area, according to a news release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
Officers found property damage and shell casings in the roadway. Police are asking anyone in the vicinity who may have camera footage to call the non-emergency hotline at 319-286-5491.
