Cedar Rapids police ask for public’s help in hit-and-run

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Cedar Rapids Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a vehicle involved in a Tuesday morning hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian.
Officers were dispatched at 6:43 a.m. to First Avenue East and 35th Street, where an adult male pedestrian had been hit.
The man was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, a city news release stated. His name was not released.
