Cedar Rapids police arrest man after knife attack, short chase

A Cedar Rapids man was arrested Friday for stabbing another man following an argument and attempting to elude police.
According to the police department media release, Cedar Rapids Police arrested Mikhel Snyder, 19, of Cedar Rapids. Snyder now faces charges of assault with a weapon, going armed with intent, interference with official acts and a few minor drug charges.
Police say Snyder allegedly attacked a man with a knife following an argument late Friday morning. After the assault, Snyder fled from the scene at 385 15th St. SE, but was soon spotted by police several blocks away. Snyder attempted to elude officers but we captured not long after this.
The stabbing victim was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Snyder is now being held at the Linn County Correctional Facility.
