Cedar Rapids man faces felony charge after hammer attack

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man faces a felony charge, accused of fracturing another man's skull with a hammer.
Jeffrey Martin, 41, is charged with willful injury causing serious injury, a Class C felony.
He is accused of striking a man in the head three times Wednesday in the 700 block of F Avenue NE, according to the criminal complaint.
Doctors at a hospital said the man had a fractured skull, officials said.
