Cedar Rapids man charged with sexually abusing 10-year-old

CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man was arrested this weekend on charges he sexually abused a 10-year-old in April.
Lariy Hussan Muya, 20, is charged with second-degree sexual abuse. He was arrested Sunday and is being held in the Linn County Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bail.
According to a criminal complaint, Muya touched the child inappropriately sometime between April 12 and April 19. The child told a teacher about the inappropriate contact after a Safe Touch presentation at school, and then reported it again to a forensic interviewer at a child protection center, the complaint said.
A no-contact order has been filed on behalf of the child.
