Cedar Rapids man charged with sex abuse

CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man was arrested Friday on three charges of third-degree sexual abuse in connection with an assault last summer.
Quentin Frank Blazicek, 32, is accused of forcibly performing sexual acts on a woman July 15 at his home. The woman reported the incident to her family the next day, and later to law enforcement, after texting Blazicek to not have any more contact with her, according to a criminal complaint.
A warrant was issued Nov. 6 for Blazicek’s arrest, and he was taken into custody Friday. He had his first appearance in court last weekend and was being held in the Linn County Jail on a $30,000 bail.
