Cedar Rapids man charged with robbing Wendy’s at gunpoint

CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man was arrested Wednesday on charges that he robbed a Wendy’s fast-food restaurant at gunpoint a day earlier.
Jamercion D’Andre Bush, 34, is charged with first-degree robbery, use of a dangerous weapon in the commission of a crime, going armed with intent and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a news release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
Police were called at 7:28 a.m. Tuesday to the restaurant at 1316 First Ave. NE, where witnesses reported a person robbed the store with a handgun and fled, the release states.
A criminal complaint providing more details of the investigation had not been filed Wednesday.
