CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man was arrested Monday on charges that he requested to meet with someone he believed was 13 years old for sexual purposes.
David Gabel, 65, is charged with enticing a minor under 16. According to a criminal complaint, he contacted a Hiawatha police officer who was posing as a 13-year-old girl online and asked to meet the minor in order to perform sexual acts with her in December 2023.
