CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man has been charged with attempted murder after police say he shot another man in February.
Ray Robertson Jr, 34, also has been charged with willful injury, possession of a firearm by a felon, use of a dangerous weapon in commission of a crime, and persons ineligible to carry dangerous weapons.
According to a news release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department, officers responded to an alley in the 500 block between Eighth and Ninth avenues SW on Feb. 7 for a report of a shooting. They found a 45-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. Police did not release information about what time of day the report was made.
As a result of the investigation into the shooting, Robertson was arrested and charged on Tuesday. A criminal complaint with more details about the shooting and the charges was not yet available Tuesday afternoon.
