IOWA CITY -- A Cedar Rapids man was arrested this week, accused of robbing a juvenile at gunpoint June 13 in Iowa City.
Ewaun Conner Gardner Jr., 19, is charged with first-degree robbery, use of a dangerous weapon in commission of a crime, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, going armed with intent and assault while participating in a felony.
According to criminal complaints, Gardner pointed a gun at a juvenile’s head and took his money at 600 Wheaton Rd. in Iowa City.
The juvenile and another witness identified Gardner by his first name and by his tattoo and were able to pick him out of a photo lineup, the complaint stated.
A warrant was issued for Gardner’s arrest June 20, and he was arrested Thursday. He had his first appearance in court Friday and is being held in the Johnson County Jail on a $45,000 bond.
