Ainsworth infant death under investigation

Details are scarce, but authorities have released that they are conducting an investigation into the death of an Ainsworth infant Saturday.
According to a media release from the Washington County Sheriff's Office, at 10:23 a.m. on March 24, the Washington County Communications Center received a report of an infant who had stopped breathing at a rural Ainsworth residence.
According to the release, the infant was taken to Washington County Hospital and Clinics, where it was pronounced dead. An autopsy is currently being performed by the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Decedent Care Center, according to the release.
This incident remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. According to the release, no further comment on this case will be made until the investigation is concluded.
