1 injured in Cedar Rapids shooting

CEDAR RAPIDS — Police responding early Saturday to reports of gunfire found a person who had been shot and suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the incident happened before 1 a.m. in the 1100 block of K Street SW. The victim, who they did not identify, was transported to a hospital. Police said the shooting also caused property damage to a vehicle and residence.
Authorities said the shooting was under investigation and no arrests had been made.
“This is believed to be a targeted incident and there is not a threat to the public,” police said in a news release.
