Pickup driver killed in Linn County crash on Highway 30
A pickup driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 30 on Monday night, according to a Linn County Sheriff's Office news release.
At 11:18 p.m., a 2016 Ford F-150 driven by Timothy Martin Hildenbrand, 60, of Cedar Rapids, was eastbound on Highway 30 near Linn Benton Road. The pickup entered the median, crossed over the westbound lanes and struck a grain bin north of the roadway, a witness observed.
Hildenbrand was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
