Pedestrian crossing highway in North Liberty hit by pickup truck

NORTH LIBERTY — A 42-year-old Center Point man crossing Highway 965 in North Liberty on foot was struck Tuesday by a pickup truck and was seriously injured.
The pedestrian, Donovan Crouchet, was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with life threatening injuries, according to Iowa State Police crash report.
Donald Farley, 82, of North Liberty, driving a 2017 Nissan Frontier pickup truck, wasn’t injured but his truck was towed from the scene, the report states.
The crash happened about 8:35 p.m. in the 2100 block of Highway 965 in North Liberty. The crash remains under investigation.
