A woman and a 12-year-old child died when their vehicle crashed into a Davenport bridge and flipped into a creek, and three other children in the car suffered injuries, police said.

The man was operating a 1934 John Deere tractor with a plow at 5847 Troy Mills Road to plow a field with other members of a local tractor club.

One person died in a two-vehicle crash Thursday in Benton County.

According to the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office, 70-year-old Barbara Wallig lost control on the gravel road in the 10200 block of Main Road around 4:05 p.m. Sunday.

As of Thursday, Iowa was up seven traffic fatalities so far this year compared with the same period last year. There have been 159 fatalities in so far in 2022 -- 11 of them in the first week of July, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa (AP) — An Iowa man is dead after the car he was driving crash through the front window of a local home Saturday morning.

Erik Spaw, a Cedar Rapids Water Division employee, is still missing nearly two months after his fleet truck was found submerged in the Cedar River.

A Cascade man died in a car crash Friday on Highway 64 near Anamosa.

About 4:19 a.m. Wednesday, deputies and other emergency responders were dispatched to the scene on Monticello Road near Highway 13, a news release stated.

The crash was reported Thursday night in rural Linn County, according to a news release from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office
