One person sustains serious injuries in motorcycle crash in Linn County
The 18-year-old driver was taken by air ambulance to UIHC

CENTRAL CITY — One person sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle crash near Central City early Sunday morning.
Caden Jacobs, 18, of Center Point, was driving a motorcycle west at 12:38 a.m. Sunday on Central City Road when he lost control of the bike and crashed at Fairchild Road, according to a new release from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
The news release reports that Jacobs was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was the only person on the bike and there were no other vehicles involved.
Jacobs was taken by Lifeguard Air Ambulance to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment of serious injuries.
Responders included the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Center Point Fire Department and Ambulance and Lifeguard Air Ambulance.
