One person killed, another injured in UTV crash Saturday

One person was killed and another was injured Saturday when a UTV crashed in a rural Linn County ditch.
First responders were called to the 600 block of Wapsi Banks Road, about 20 miles northeast of Marion, at 7:08 p.m., for a vehicle in a ditch. When they arrived, responders found a Polaris UTV in the north ditch on its side, according to a news release from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
The UTV had two occupants. One was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.
The names of the two occupants have not yet been released, pending notification of family.
The crash is being investigated by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. It was responded to by the sheriff’s office and its rescue, the Prairieburg and Coggon fire departments, Lifeguard Air Ambulance and Anamosa Ambulance.
