One dies in Interstate 80 crash near Williamsburg

A man crossing Interstate 80 to retrieve items that were blown out his car was killed Thursday when struck near Williamsburg, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
The crash happened at 6 p.m. Thursday at Mile Marker 219 on westbound I-80.
Roger Allen Evans, 76, of Victor, was struck by a 2012 Buick LaCrosse driven by Alysia M. West, 47, of Millersburg, according to a crash report.
The Iowa State Patrol still is investigating the crash.
