One dead in head-on crash in Delaware County
A pickup and semi truck collided east of Earlville on Thursday

One person died Thursday after a head-on collision between a semi truck and a pickup in Delaware County, according to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol.
The crash happened on 210th Street, east of Earlville, at 3:25 p.m. Thursday. The driver of the pickup truck, Terry Meyer, was driving east and crossed the center of the road for an unknown reason. He crashed into the semi, driven by Tom Burcham Jr., which was heading west, the report states.
Meyer, 59, of Dyersville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Burcham, 50, of Earlville, was taken to the Regional Medical Center in Manchester, Iowa, then to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics to be treated for his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
