One dead in head-on collision in Tama County

One person was killed Wednesday in a head-on collision in Tama County, according to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol.
Jason Williams, 19, was driving a 2011 Volkswagen GTI south on Highway 21, south of 170th Street near Dysart, at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. He crashed into a 2018 Ford F150 pickup truck traveling north in an offset head-on collision.
Williams, of Dysart, died in the crash. The driver of the truck — Mark Bagenstos, 62, of Evansdale — and a passenger — Jeanne Bagenstos, 59, of Clutier — were both injured. They were taken to the Allen Hospital in Waterloo, according to the crash report.
