One dead in crash near Marengo

One person died Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash south of Marengo, according to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol.
William Myers, 52, of Marengo, was driving a 2009 Ford Escape south on 210th Street in Iowa County when he crossed into the northbound lane for an unknown reason and collided with a semi-trailer truck driving the other way, the report states.
Myers was not wearing a seat belt and was killed in the crash, the report says. He was the only person in his vehicle. The driver of the semi — Russell Trimble, 65, of Marengo — was not injured, according to the report.
