Linn County Sheriff’s Office: Bicyclist from Walford struck from behind, killed on Christmas Day
A bicyclist from Walford was struck from behind by a vehicle and killed Saturday afternoon, according to a news release from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
About 2:25 p.m., a northbound 2017 Ford Escape driven by Holly Dubishar of Amana struck a northbound bicyclist near 11609 Linn Benton Rd., the release said.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office on Sunday identified the victim as Terry Zabokrtsky, 79, of Walford.
The crash remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
