Iowa State Patrol: Driver on Interstate 380 killed when car rear-ended semi in Johnson County

A Cedar Rapids man was killed Tuesday on Interstate 380 when his car rear-ended a semi-truck’s trailer in stalled traffic in Johnson County, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report.
North of North Liberty near mile marker 7, northbound traffic had slowed around 11:30 a.m. and started to back up for towing that was happening near mile marker 9. The driver of a Volvo sedan, identified Wednesday as 37-year-old Eric Taylor of Cedar Rapids, rear-ended the semi-truck and was killed, the report stated.
The crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
