Dubuque County crash kills motorcyclist

DUBUQUE COUNTY, Iowa - A Waukon man was killed in a Dubuque County collision Sunday afternoon.

According to a news release from the Dubuque County Sheriff's Office, officers were called to the intersection of Highway 52 and the entrance of Spring Valley Trailer Park at 4:03 p.m. Sunday for a crash involving a pickup and two motorcycles.

One of the motorcycle riders, Thomas Haberichter, 56, of Waukon, was flown to an Iowa City hospital by helicopter and pronounced dead. The second rider, Nancy Haberichter, 50, also of Waukon, was taken to Finley Hospital in Dubuque, where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck, Kevin Stocks of Bellevue, was unhurt,

According to the news release, Stocks' pickup attempted a left-hand turn onto Highway 52 south, into the path of the northbound motorcycles.
