Cedar Rapids police seeking witnesses in motorcycle crash

CEDAR RAPIDS — Police are asking witnesses to come forward about a crash that happened Wednesday afternoon in northwest Cedar Rapids.
According to a spokesperson for the Cedar Rapids Police Department, officers responded at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday to the 1800 block of Edgewood Road NW, north of O Avenue NW, for a reported crash.
Upon arrival, first responders found a motorcyclist who had crashed. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Investigation of the incident still is underway, and police have asked anyone who witnessed the crash to reach out to the police department.
