Cedar Rapids man may have died before his car crashed

CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man who was found dead after a car crash Thursday may have died before the crash, according to the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
The crash happened near the corner of 22nd Avenue SW and Wiley Boulevard about 5 a.m. Thursday, when one vehicle rear-ended another.
The man driving the vehicle that rear-ended the other vehicle was found dead at the scene, but a preliminary investigation indicated he may have died before the crash, police said.
The people in the car that was rear-ended had minor injuries. Additional details, like the cause of death and the names of those involved, have not been released.
