Bicyclist injured in Iowa City crash

A bicyclist was badly hurt Sunday afternoon during an organized bike ride in a collision with a vehicle in Iowa City, police and others said.
Iowa City police were called at 4:06 p.m. to the 3300 block of Rohret Road to respond to the crash. The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, a city news release states.
Police have not released any additional information, including what led to the crash.
Iowa City’s Bike Library said the crash happened during the Farm Cycle ride, where riders visit local farms and have seasonal food and drinks made by local chefs.
