Anamosa crash victim identified

The Iowa State Patrol has identified Linda Wentland of Wyoming, Iowa, as the victim in a head-on crash in Jones County that killed one person and injured another.
Wentland, 75, was driving a 2004 Toyota Corolla on Iowa Highway 64 and 140th Avenue in rural Anamosa when she crossed the highway into oncoming traffic, striking a Jeep Cherokee nearly head-on about 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, according to the State Patrol.
The driver of the Jeep, Raymond Sauser, 62, of Dyersville, was taken to UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids by ambulance for treatment of injuries.
Wentland was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
According to the report, the Corolla after the impact came to rest in the center of the roadway and the Jeep ended up in the north ditch.
