Together We Achieve’s next food box giveaway is Sunday in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — Together We Achieve’s next drive through food box giveaway event is scheduled for Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hawkeye Downs, 4400 Sixth St. SW, This is a first-come, first-served event and no registration is required. Because of ongoing pandemic precautions, please be prepared to wait in your cars patiently and maintain physical distance.

Together We Achieve has had the opportunity to distribute 12,426 boxes to the community year-to-date, already reaching the organization’s goal of hitting 12,000 meals by the end of the year as part of its 12K in 2021 program.

Calling for Volunteers

Volunteers are needed for food box packaging on Saturday. At the Sunday distribution event, volunteers are needed for loading boxes into vehicles, cleanup/hauling and traffic control. Sign up to volunteer at bit.ly/TWASpecialPrograms.
