The Iowa Environmental Council will host the Bright Ideas program on Thursday. It includes a keynote, awards, a meal for in-person attendees, networking time, and conversations on clean energy. The keynote speaker is Dr. Destenie Nock, Assistant Professor of Engineering & Public Policy and Civil & Environmental Engineering with Carnegie Mellon University.
Along with the live main event in Des Moines, satellite live events with meals will be held in Iowa City and Waterloo. Iowa City’s event will be held at Big Grove Brewery, 1225 S. Gilbert St. There also is an online-only option to participate.
The event is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday and costs range from $20 to $65. For more information and to register, go to www.iaenvironment.org/brightideas.
