Refreshments and more for bike commuters in Cedar Rapids for Bike to Work Week

CEDAR RAPIDS — Bike commuters in Cedar Rapids can stop by pit stops today and Thursday during their commute to pick up free swag and refreshments as part of Bike to Work Week.
The pit stops today are at First Avenue and the trail (across from the Double Tree) from 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.; and at Goldfinch Cyclery, 208 C 12th Ave. SE, from 4 to 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, Cedar Rapids is encouraging workers to incorporate a bike ride as part of their lunch break, and at 6 p.m. with Marion will host a Ride of Silence, which begins at Marion Square Park and honors those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.
Pit stops will again be available Thursday for bike commuters in Cedar Rapids, from 7 to 9 a.m. at First Avenue at the trail (across from the Double Tree); and 4 to 6 p.m. at Goldfinch Cyclery.
