JEFFERSON — RAGBRAI today begins in farm country and ends in one of the state's premier college towns, Ames.
Riders depart Jefferson with stops in Grand Junction, Dana, Ogden, Boone and Luther before arriving in Ames. Ledges State Park was on the original map, but the course was rerouted away from Ledges due to flooding.
The route is 62.2 miles and includes 1,262 feet of climb.
The weather is predicted to be kind today with sunny skies and a high of 84 degrees.
RAGBRAI began on Sunday in Onawa and ends on Saturday in Davenport.
