CEDAR RAPIDS - Renovations are coming to Linn County's Pinicon Ridge Park playground, and the county wants to hear from residents on what they want to see added to the roughly 50-year-old space.
Linn County Conservation in a Thursday news release announced the county is in the design phase of a playground redevelopment project at Pinicon Ridge Park's day use area on the west side of the Wapsipinicon River.
According to the release, the original riverside playground was developed in the 1960s, with several features added or removed over time. The hope is to replace the existing structures with features that comply with federal Americans with Disabilities Act access guidelines to create an inclusive playground, including a rubber safety surface. A new restroom also is under construction, the release states.
Linn County residents can provide input on the park in an online survey at linncountyparks.com. The survey will be online until Oct. 26.
