The Bur Oak Land Trust is seeking people willing to “foster” pawpaw tree seedlings until early October, when staff will collect the plants for the winter. Fruit that tastes like a cross between a mango and banana is having a moment as an ingredient in cocktails and desserts.

FilmScene at the Chauncey, 404 E. College St., Suite 100, is reopening Friday, May 28. Public screenings will be held in Theater 1 and Theater 2, at 42 percent of capacity, to ensure distanced seating between groups. Theater 3 will be open for FilmScene Private Cinema, rentals of new releases and classic films.
