UAY’s biggest fundraising event, the Festival of Flowers, seeks to raise $50,000 to support programming like Spark, as well as the Young Parent Program, health education and downtown Youth Center. The event is Thursday at the Johnson County Fairgrounds. Reservations cost $50 and are available online.

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation announces its second grant cycle for 2022 for local charitable nonprofits. The organization is looking for volunteers to bolster their local food rescue operations and tackle summer produce initiatives. Volunteers transport over 40,000 lbs. of food weekly to agencies throughout Johnson County that serve food-insecure populations.
