​The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is returning with 10 Iowa stops to again raise money, food and awareness for local food banks in communities along the Canadian Pacific network.

The 30-foot LED panel tree is set to debut at this year’s event.

The Domestic Violence Intervention Program in Iowa City is hosting a gift drive through Dec. 24 that will benefit domestic violence survivors who have used the program’s services this year.

The project – a collaboration of Corridor Community Action Network, The LENA Project, Iowa City-based social justice advocate Anne Ventullo and others, with financial backing from Velvet Lotus Tattoo –is in the process of collecting toy donations to stock several distribution sites across the community this season.
