The 44th Annual National Farm Toy Show & Auction will be held this Friday through Sunday in Dyersville. More than 200 exhibitors from about 20 states will be selling toys and collectibles at several locations: Beckman High School, the National Farm Toy Museum, two outdoor sales areas, east of the museum and the Commercial Club Park area.
The easiest way to get around is to park your car at one of these areas and then hop on a bus that will be making frequent stops at all of the locations. The buses also will include a stop at the Ertl showroom and store.
Special features of this year’s show include:
• The annual auction by Cornwell, Inc. of Aurora, Neb. Live at Beckman High School and also online. Begins at 10 a.m. Saturday. The catalog is available at www.cornwellauction.com
• The annual display contest in Beckman’s gym with 10 youth and nine adult participants this year. Trophies will be awarded on Saturday morning
Floor Rights/Early Buy admission passes can be purchased for $30 at the front entrances of Beckman High School and the National Farm Toy Museum. This is a three-day pass that allows early admission to the show, while some dealers are still setting up. Admission times are 2 p.m. Friday afternoon and 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
General Admission is $10 a day, with children 12 and under free when accompanied by an adult. The school and museum are open for general admission on Friday evening 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Commercial Club Park Area’s show hours, open to all attendees, are Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday at 8 a.m.
