Mercer Park Aquatic Center pool closure extended into January

The Mercer Park Aquatic Center pool closure that was scheduled to end this week has been extended. The closure, which began Oct. 1, will continue through Jan. 17, 2022.

Mercer Park Aquatic Center pool is located at 2701 Bradford Dr. Delays are due to supply chain issues with the dehumidification unit and labor shortages in the local construction market.

The Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center pool, located at 220 S. Gilbert St., will remain open for lap and open swim. View the pool schedule online at icgov.org/Pools.

Annual pool pass holders may contact customer service by emailing reception@iowa-city.org to request an extension due to the pool closure, or by calling (319) 356-5100. Extensions also may be requested in-person at either recreation facility.
