Meals on Wheels ramps back up, needs plenty of volunteers
Horizons’ Meals on Wheels program returned to daily hot meals on June 1, and needs volunteers as it is ramping up its delivery schedule from 33 routes a week to more than 160 in the Cedar Rapids, Marion and Hiawatha area.
Specifically, there is a large need for volunteers on Thursdays and Fridays each week to deliver a hot meal and a friendly smile to homebound seniors in the area. Volunteers can email volunteer@horizonsfamily.org or go to www.horizonsfamily.org/volunteer.
