Marion to honor four longtime city employees at Monday reception

Marion residents, city staff and members of the business community are invited to attend a reception at 4 p.m. Monday to honor and thank four longtime city employees who retired in the past year.
Honorees include:
• Beth Little, payroll manager with the Finance Department, 29 years of service;
• Judy Ward, 911 communications center operator with the Police Department, 30 years of service;
• Bill Houser, battalion chief/training officer with the Fire Department, 24 years of service;
• Bret Himes, firefighter with the Fire Department, 33 years of service.
The open house will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday in the Oaks Room at the Lowe Park Arts and Environment Center, 4500 N. 10th St., Marion. A brief program is planned for 4:45 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
