Iowa City Senior Center’s phased reopening begins Friday
Jun. 3, 2021 9:40 am
The Iowa City Senior Center will begin a phased reopening on Friday.
Starting Friday, current Senior Center members will be able to make appointments to use The Center’s fitness rooms. Appointments are 45 minutes in length, and members will be able to make two fitness room appointments per week.
Masks will be required at all times while in the building. Please continue to physically distance and wipe down fitness equipment after use. We ask that members do not arrive early to their appointment times and that they exit the building promptly at the end of their scheduled visits.
Members can schedule appointments online at www.icgov.org/senior or by calling The Center at (319) 356-5220.
Members will need their membership cards to access the building via the parking ramp skywalk or Washington Street entrance and to enter the fitness rooms. The cardio and resistance training areas (including showers) will be the only spaces in the building accessible to members during this stage of reopening.
As a reminder, parking in the attached Tower Place parking garage is free for the first hour.
At this time, The Center’s offices will remain closed for in-person business, but the staff is available by phone during business hours to answer questions and help you schedule appointments or update your membership. For assistance, please call the Senior Center at (319) 356-5220 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
