Funding available for early child support programs through Johnson County
Funding is for programs that provide early childhood support through Johnson County Empowerment/Early Childhood Iowa

JOHNSON COUNTY – The Johnson County Empowerment/Early Childhood Iowa Area Board has funds available for programs that provide support to families with children ages 0 to 5, and pregnant individuals.
Funds are to be used to positively impact children in Johnson County in one of the following areas:
• Secure and nurturing early education environments;
• Safe, stable, nurturing families and homes;
• Healthy children ready to succeed in school.
Anyone providing services to Johnson County families is eligible to apply. Funds are available for contract dates of July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, with a possibility of up to two renewal years. Total funding of up to $865,000 is available for allocation and the board expects to award multiple contracts.
A mandatory bidder’s conference will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the Health and Human Services Building, Room 203 B/C, 855 S. Dubuque St., or via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/8727860485. Proposals must be received by 4 p.m. on April 1.
