CEDAR RAPIDS — Families Helping Families of Iowa (FHF), a local nonprofit that supports children in foster care, needs volunteers to help staff the Cedar Rapids Hot Cider Hustle 5K and Half Marathon on Oct. 24.
FHF was chosen as the nonprofit partner for the run, which includes a 5K, half marathon and a caramel apple and hot cider at the finish line. The race starts at NewBo City Market.
Volunteers are needed for an array of job descriptions, including registration, food distribution, course marshals, water station, medal distribution and more. All volunteers receive a free event shirt for volunteering. If you would like to sign up to help, please go to https://tinyurl.com/hotciderhustle.
“Families Helping Families is thrilled to be chosen once again as the nonprofit partner for the Cedar Rapids Hot Cider Hustle. We helped with this event in 2020 and it was a ton of fun for all our volunteers,” said Melissa Carlson, Executive Director of Families Helping Families of Iowa.
Registration still is open for participants and early bird pricing ends on Wednesday. Use code FHF10 to receive 10 percent off the registration fees. For more information, visit https://iowaruns.com/cedarrapidshotciderhustle.
