JOHNSON COUNTY – Elder Services announces the Elderberry Box fundraiser, to be held in Iowa City/Coralville and the surrounding area from July 13-15.
This event will raise money to support Elder Services Meals On Wheels program, which provides a nutritious meal and a daily wellness check to older adults in Johnson County.
Many in the Iowa City area will remember the Elderberry Tea that Elder Services has hosted in the past. In keeping with the theme, the Elderberry Lunchbox Fundraiser was created. The delicious Elderberry Lunchbox will allow you to eat from your desk or perhaps eat in the park with a friend. There is something for everyone from a choice of tasty sandwiches to a hearty salad. Don’t forget the prize-winning cookies! Make a selection for yourself or order for a meeting at your workplace. Orders are now being taken at the Elder Services website www.horizonsfamily.org/elderservices. Orders of three or more lunches will be delivered for free between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. by a volunteer.
Your support will assure Elder Services will be able to continue to deliver Meals On Wheels to the older adults in Johnson, Cedar, Iowa and Washington counties.
