CORALVILLE — Coralville 4thFest is now accepting applications for parade entries to participate in Coralville’s annual Fourth of July celebration. Decorated floats, guests of honor, community groups, and area businesses will travel the two-mile parade route starting at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 4, in celebration of Independence Day.
The theme of the 2022 Coralville 4thFest parade celebrates the "Coralville Strip" on Highway 6. Parade applications are accepted online or by mail, and must be received by June 1. Parade applications are available at www.coralville.org/4thFestParade.
Parade awards will be given in the following categories: best interpretation of theme, best walking group, most patriotic float, and Grand Marshal’s award.
Coralville’s 4thFest is an Independence Day tradition. This year's lineup includes a Fourth of July parade, fireworks, a carnival, and entertainment in S.T. Morrison Park. On July 3, 4thFest will host a free outdoor concert in S.T. Morrison Park featuring Night Ranger; the Funk Daddies will open the show.
